This is the ketch "The Formidable".  She was built in Long Island and was stationed in Rockport over the 2010-2012 summer season, being stored in winter "on the hard" in Gloucester.  She is now running out of Boston.  She is used as a sightseeing pirate ship and currently owned by Captain Russ Tryder.  Her daily excursions along the coast of Cape Ann would often be accompanied by the use of her cannons to fend off any would be looters, thieves or other unscrupulous characters trying to commandeer the vessel, capture her crew or any of the high profile visitors that would often be on the tours.  

This plate was created (burned) in 2010 and this image printed in 2016.  It is #4 of an edition that will be limited to 125.  It measures 5x7 on BFK Rives Paper approximately 8x11.  It is available for $75.00 shipping (US) included.  I lighter version title "The Fog" is also available.
